Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

Design electrical systems for industrial installations including power distribution, motor control centers, and panel fabrication. Work on projects across cement, textile, and power generation sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop single line diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts
• Perform load calculations and equipment sizing
• Design MCC panels and power distribution systems
• Coordinate with panel fabrication team for manufacturing drawings
• Conduct site surveys and electrical testing supervision
• Ensure compliance with IEC standards and local NEPRA regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from HEC-recognized university
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial electrical design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and ETAP/SKM
• Knowledge of LV/MV switchgear and motor control systems
• Understanding of hazardous area classification (ATEX/IECEx)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with ABB or Schneider switchgear
• Knowledge of VFD applications and motor protection
• PEC registered engineer
